Do you sometimes come off the trail feeling like you've got a little left in the tank? That shouldn't be the case with this duathlon of hiking and climbing, done in conjunction with our friends at the Triangle Rock Club (http://www.trianglerockclub.com/). First, we'll meet on the Glenwood Avenue side of Umstead State Park, at the Visitor Center, then drive to the Bike & Bridle Trailhead for a 4-mile hike on the Sycamore Trail. Then, to sate that "Is-that-all-there-is?" feeling, we'll drive down the road to the North Raleigh Triangle Rock Club for a climbing session at 6.
Don’t worry if you are a novice hiker, nobody will be left on their own! Don't worry if you're a newbie climber, we have plenty of friendly climbers who are happy to belay and give you pointers.
Your first visit to the gym with the meetup is free admission and harness rental (subsequent visits with the Meetup are $15 and include harness rental; outside of Meetups, day pass rates of $19 apply and do not include harness rental).
