Don't we all love traditions especially ones that involve friends and good treats to eat. Here is one of our favorites hikes where we socialize after we burn a few calories to swap trail tales and eat. So get out Grandma's or families favorite cookie, bars, candy recipes and let us enjoy something you would like to share. And we know everyone is busy, so store bought is just fine. You don't even need to "disguise" it.
Leave the maddening mall or the whole shopping scene, and hike the Sycamore Trail which is 7.2 mile loop(can be made shorter) and then enjoy fellowship, sweets, and hot chocolate that Joe and I provide. It's a BYOM(mug) and bring a Ziploc to take home any leftover cookies.
Dress accordingly to the weather and don't forget to bring water. A camping style chair is a nice addition, too.
