Have you realized the Holidays are coming up fast? It's a slippery slope from Halloween to Thanksgiving to year end festivities. We're only 5 weeks from Thanksgiving! Let's get a head start on stress relief (and burn a few calories) while hiking the MST.

We'll explore Laurel Bluffs trail from Eno River Pleasant Grove entrance to the Rock Quarry, hang out and take a few pictures, then head back. It's about 3 miles round-trip. A nice, easy afternoon hike to start getting in the swing of things.

This trail has little miniatures of all the best mountain features around. There's the bridge over the raging river (ok, it's a little creek), the daunting switchback up the mountain (maybe not that steep and maybe its just a hill - but it is a switchback), the final climb where you make your push to reach the rim (okay - maybe 50 feet), then the walk around the edge of the rim (you may not be high, but you feel it). It's everything you want, but smaller.

The best part of this hike is that you'll come out of it with knowledge on how to reach one of the best swimming holes in the area.

Come join us and let's start our Fall Hikes!
