GetHiking! Mountains-to-Sea Trail along Falls Lake

Details
On this flat 5 mile hike we'll look for early signs of fall along Falls Lake, through open meadows and in edge forest. There's a nice amount of diversity on this hike, from bottomland forest to a planted pine forest to abandoned farm land. There's some exposure on this hike, so sunblock according to your personal preference. And while it's officially fall, it will still be warm, so two liters of water are advised. Snacks, too.
We won't stop for lunch, but we will break. These hikes are lead from the back to accommodate a range of hiking interests: folks out for an aerobic workout are free to go off the front (the Mountains-to-Sea Trail is well-marked with its white circle blaze), those interested in taking a more moderate pace can hang with me. Parts of this trail can get wet, boots or sturdy hiking shoes are advised. A short shuttle is involved.
