GetHiking! Sunday morning scape along the Eno River

Details
We are back! Our first hike since the pandemic shut us down in March finds us hiking a 7-mile patchwork of trail at Eno River State Park.
From the Few's Ford Access, we'll link together the Buckquarter Creek, Ridge, Shakori, Fieldstone and Holden Mill trails for a loop that takes in the river, the ridges and the valleys of the Eno.
The route has rocky and rooty sections that will make you glad you have trekking poles, Hiking shoes/boots, with a sturdy soul will also be your friend. Bring 2 liters of water, bring snacks. As for clothing, we will send a note the day before the hike with the weather forecast and thoughts on dress (more along the lines of function than fashion).
We're excited to be back hiking as a group, and we ask your cooperation on a few small points:
- At the trailhead, we ask that everyone wear a mask or face covering of some sort. We also ask that you keep your mask handy in case we encounter other hikers along the trail.
- Should we encounter other hikers, please either don your mask or step off the trail to allow a minimum 6 feet of space with the oncoming (or passing) hikers.
- Please maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet between hikers in our group. If you are married or live together, you may get closer to one another. If you want.
Also: this hike is limited to 10. If you sign up, then realize you can't make it, please change your RSVP so the waitlisted may hike.
This is a scenic hike, much of it off the more heavily-traveled trails at this popular park.
Difficulty: Moderate, primarily because of the distance. There are climbs, but nothing out of the ordinary for the Piedmont.
