Welcome to getWITit Detroit – Women in STEM (Men Allies Welcome) — a community committed to supporting and advancing the careers of women working across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
We are part of getWITit (Women in Tech Initiative), a national nonprofit that creates pathways for women to succeed in STEM through networking, mentorship, professional development, and leadership opportunities.
Our mission is to build stronger representation and leadership for women in the STEM workforce by:
🔹 Providing access to high-impact events and educational programs
🔹 Promoting visibility for female professionals and leaders
🔹 Partnering with local companies and sponsors who value diversity
🔹 Encouraging male allyship to foster inclusive collaboration in the industry

To kick off this exciting new chapter and year off, the getwitit - Detroit is hosting a Vision Board Workshop Event on February 17th at 6:00 PM.
This free, interactive workshop led by Demarra West, Founder and Executive Coach of Be Well Beautiful People. Together, we’ll create space to reflect, set intentional goals, and design a clear vision for the year ahead—whether that means advancing your career, prioritizing personal growth, or exploring new opportunities.
All vision board materials will be provided, and attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with a supportive community of women who share a passion for technology, growth, and empowerment. Don't miss this special event - register now!
