At The Bike Shed, we believe every child deserves a bike and we are making it happen.
Our volunteer-led team repairs, restores, and rehomes bikes to help low-income families in our community.
Whether you're a seasoned fixer or just curious, The Bike Shed is a place to:

With our collaborations, with other like minded groups, we bring “wheels to kids” - one bike at a time.
This program is free and guided by our values of "giving back to the community".
All participants must be members of Greater Forest Lawn 55+ Society ($35/year).

Let’s Get Creative — Together!
Looking to get creative? Want to make something with your hands, meet new people, and have a good time doing it?
This isn’t just for men ... all mature adults are welcome!
Whether you’re an experienced woodworker or just curious to try, our Woodworking Meetup is a great place to learn, share, and build in a relaxed and supportive space ... and we have free parking!

🔧 A few important things to know:

• Free to participate once you’re a GFLS Annual Member
• $35/year for GFLS Members (55+)
• Associate Members welcome (ages 18–54)
• Signed waiver required before using equipment
• Two people required when operating any equipment — always, no exceptions
• Please help out to keep our Centre clean, safe, and friendly for everyone

Line Dance with Beverly Opyrchal 💃
With over 30 years of partner-dance experience and 25+ years teaching adults of all levels, Beverly brings both passion and professionalism to every class!
Her line dance background was shaped by her time with the U of C Ballroom Dance Club, performing with the New Country Dancers under Kim Donaghy, and more recently through routines in the West Coast Swing genre. She actively trains in both choreography and social dance, teaching at WCS, and Co-Directing the JT Swing Team Calgary.
