The Clockworks
Distilling the immediacy of The Strokes, the swaggering-danceability of The Stone Roses, the brio of The Libertines, and the wry social commentary of The Smiths, The Clockworks are putting the small town of Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland, on the map. The Clockworks have already proven themselves as a band to get behind with a series of well received live performances in Dublin and around the country.
"You'll be hearing a lot more about The Clockworks" - Hot Press Magazine
"A band definitely on the verge of breaking through in 2017" - The Last Mixed Tape
"Far from being the typical hyperbole of a music press trying to jump on the “next big thing”, the praise with which The Clockworks were heaped was warranted" - Louder Than War (UK)
"Ireland's next big thing" - Outcast Magazine
“a song as lyrically sharp in its social observation as it is keen in its uncluttered and tenaciously inventive sound.” – Ringmaster Review (UK)
"There's swagger, charm, pleasure and an instantly noticeable individuality about this Galway band" - Remy's Music and Film Blog
"a 90’s/early 2000’s indie/rock feel to it. And with witty, ironic anecdotes reminiscent of The Streets and The Arctic Monkeys...A band with big dreams and a wry look on life has to go far." - Musician.ie
"Hop on the bandwagon now, and check them out on some of the smaller shows they’re playing this summer before you have to queue up for their sold out shows."- Echoing Stem
