**We will meet up at the Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex. The MeetUp time is at 8:45 AM and the start time is at 9:00 AM.**

***Please bring a chair to sit in.***

You may already be ready to ride **100 miles** or you may have a long way to go. This class and practice group ride will prepare you for riding a century in pace lines.

If you are planning to ride in Lloyd's pace line at the Seagull Century or in a group of your own this class will prepare you for what is to come at this event.

The entire ride, Lloyd's Pace Line is consistent at 17-18 mph. I welcome riders who can hold a pace of more than 17-18 to help keep the pace steady and the train rolling. Comment if you want to jump in on the Lloyd Train.

The class will be held outside, bring your chair to sit for instructions. We will have a practice no-drop 10 mile group ride after the class to put what you learned to practical application.

***PRE-RIDE LOGISTICS:***

3. To make the ride-day sign in quicker and easier, please provide your ride day contact info via the RSVP questions, so the Ride Leader/Organizer can have that in case of an emergency on the day of the ride. Your info will be kept private and is only visible to the Ride Leader/Organizer.

***CYCLIST RESPONSIBILITIES:***

1. Arrive early and be ready to leave on time.

3. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY! NO HELMET, NO RIDE.
4. CARRY A SPARE TUBE, PATCH KIT, PUMP, WATER BOTTLE, AND SNACK.
5. Carry identification and emergency money.
6. Practice safety and obey all traffic laws.
7. Do not "bike off" more than you can do. Go on rides within your ability, interest, and experience level.
8. If you get a flat tire, you are responsible for having a spare inner tube and changing your tire.
9. **MAKE SURE YOUR BICYCLE IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!**
