Gilbert Baker Film Festival (GBFF) is an International LGBTQIA+ Tribute to the Creator of the Rainbow Flag.

GBFF is a place to Celebrate, Amplify, and Enjoy 2SLGBTQIA+ or Queer authentic stories on screen and for our community to be seen, heard, valued, and loved.

GBFF is held virtually online and worldwide.

GBFF hosts free Film Watch Parties & Discussion Groups, Socials, Film Discussions, and Filmmakers/ Industry Networking Events.

Gilbert Baker Film Festival is fully volunteer run and has been since 2016. Gilbert Baker, who is the creator of the original rainbow flag, founded the festival just before he died. Thank you for joining us in honoring him and keeping his legacy alive!

Gilbert Baker Film Festival Watch Parties general format:
Come join other 2SLGBTQIA+ /Queer/Ally people in Zoom for Watch Party! Together we will enjoy watching and discussing films with 2SLGBTQIA+ /Queer representation and/ or storylines.

We'll open a Zoom for anyone in the community to join us to share our love of 2SLGBTQIA+/ Queer film, as well as watch & discuss films together.

The first half an hour is general discussion and catch up,
followed by watching film(s)*
After watching the films, we'll discuss the films and chat about the films and other stuff.
A great way to stay connected to our community!

* Film(s) may be a part of Gilbert Baker Film Festival or other/ outside/ independent films. All film(s) must come from a legal/reputable source. Films must be accessed and viewed through legal means/channel.

*Please note that films we will watch during Gilbert Baker Film Festival are part of a ticketed film festival program. These Films must be accessed and viewed through legal means/channel; such as purchasing a ticket or pass to GBFF and then accessing
the ticket/pass through our authorized GBFF hosting and Streaming Platform.
Attendees will watch on their own devices while we are in zoom.
Watch Party attendees can chat via text messages in the Zoom chat and also participate in our live in Zoom discussions, Q &A's,etc. (One may participate with or without their zoom cameras on. Please note you may be asked to briefly turn on your camera +/- asked a few questions to verify you are a human and to help efforts to maintain a safe Zoom environment.) GBFF Event host(s) will remain present in the zoom at all times during our events, be on camera, and be accessible via the group chat.
