Intermediate HTML & CSS

Details

Have you spent some time practicing beginner HTML and CSS but are ready for the next step?

Whether you'd like to improve your current site or build a site from scratch, we are here to help. Join us for this 2-class weekend series in June where we will build a single-page website. It will include accessibility testing, responsive web design, and code maintainability.

This class takes place over one weekend in June, as follows:

• Saturday, June 3rd 11am-3pm
• Sunday, June 4th 11am-3pm

Is This Class For Me?

To get the most out of this class, you should be comfortable building simple webpages with basic HTML and CSS. You may have taken Intro to HTML through Girl Develop It, or maybe you have built a site for fun. If you're unsure if you're ready, reach out to our teacher!

To help with the process, we ask all participants to take this quiz (http://pixelpushstudio.com/gdi/jquizzy.htm) before purchasing a spot in the class. Getting a score better than 70% should allow you to follow along comfortably in the class. A review will be provided before we start the new material and you can view the material from our class on our website (https://www.girldevelopit.com/materials/inter-html). If you have additional questions, feel free to post them below.

Amanda Cheung (@acacheung (http://twitter.com/acacheung)) is a speaker, developer, and designer based in Boston, MA. She comes from a visual background, having graduated with a BFA in painting, but another part of her brain fell in love with CSS. Finding better user experience solutions by balancing designers' and developers' priorities fascinates her. She is always trying to improve the designer-developer relationship. Amanda is currently a senior designer at Upstatement (http://upstatement.com), and organizer of the Boston CSS Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Boston-CSS/).
