Take a deep dive into the world of artificial intelligence and learn how to leverage cutting-edge tools to create, innovate, and tell compelling stories.
This 3-week (6-session) hands-on course combines foundational AI concepts with practical projects, from building custom GPTs to designing investor-ready pitch decks.
This class is designed to gain real-world skills and confidence to integrate AI into your workflow and apply them for everyday use. It does have a special focus on preparing attendees to participate (and crush!) [GDI’s November Hackathon](https://girldevelopit.com/events/details/girl-develop-it-virtual-hackathon-presents-gdi-hackathon-break-through-2025/).

**What to expect:**
Each session will explore an AI tools and have attendees take on a challenge - some topics include:

* Exploring ChatGPT
* Train your own AI w/Teachable Machine (by Google)
* Understanding and working with AI Classifiers
* Vibe Coding

All classes will be recorded and the recordings will be distributed before the next class.

Khye Borg Liew is the Director of Teaching and Learning at [All Star Code](https://allstarcode.org/), a nonprofit CS organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of tech innovators by creating pathways to economic opportunity through CS education and mentorship. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at New York University, and teaches a synchronous, online Introduction to Computer Programming course every semester.

Khye completed his undergraduate studies at New York University and his graduate degree at Columbia University. As a CS educator, his work centers on mitigating educational inequities through the lens of technology and pedagogy. He integrates theories of culturally relevant teaching, student-centered learning, and asset-based approaches to empower students to see themselves as leaders in tech. Khye's work also focuses on AI literacy. He designs tools and learning experiences to help students utilize AI to elevate learning, while also engaging with questions of ethical and responsible AI use.
