Wanting to learn to write some code, but not sure where to start? Thinking about checking out some classes, but want to know what this whole Girl Develop It thing is about? Interested in meeting some fellow coding students and some professionals already working in the field?

Then come on out to our mentoring night, nicely hosted by Make in LA in Chatsworth. You'll get a chance to meet other members, find out about our classes and our mission, and see what classes might be the best fit for you. And Sabio (http://sabio.la/) will be providing dinner for everyone!

Agenda:

7pm-7:30pm: Welcome

7:30pm-8:00pm: GDI discussion

8:00pm-9:00pm: Mentorship groups - we'll break up into smaller groups and have smaller discussions with mentors who are already working in the tech field. This is your chance to figure out what to do next, what skills you need to work on, and what you really need to land the job you want!

Everyone is welcome to attend, but please honor your RSVP. Our hosts, our volunteer mentors, our sponsors and our organizers donate considerable time and money to make our events happen. Please be respectful of everyone's time, energy, and money and make every effort to attend if you've indicated that you'll be there.

Mentors:

Want to be a mentor and help answer questions and guide students? Sign up here (http://gdila.org/volunteer-opportunity/mentoring-night-mentor-may/). You'll need to be registered with us as a volunteer, so if you're not, head to our Get Involved (http://gdila.org/get-involved/) page and sign up. It only takes a minute.

Interested in our upcoming mentoring program? Sign up for our mentorship program mailing list (http://eepurl.com/bokgd1)! We're just getting this started and want to see how we should shape the program to best meet the needs of our students. It will only take a minute!
