Essential AI Skills: Explore & Practice (Hackathon Prep)

Take a deep dive into the world of artificial intelligence and learn how to leverage cutting-edge tools to create, innovate, and tell compelling stories.
This 3-week (6-session) hands-on course combines foundational AI concepts with practical projects, from building custom GPTs to designing investor-ready pitch decks.
This class is designed to gain real-world skills and confidence to integrate AI into your workflow and apply them for everyday use. It does have a special focus on preparing attendees to participate (and crush!) GDI’s November Hackathon.

What to expect:
Each session will explore an AI tools and have attendees take on a challenge - some topics include:

• Exploring ChatGPT
• Train your own AI w/Teachable Machine (by Google)
• Understanding and working with AI Classifiers
• Vibe Coding

• Sep 23 (Tuesday), 7 - 8:30 pm ET (4 -5:30 pm PT)
• Sep 27 (Saturday), 12 - 1:30 pm ET (9 -10:30 am PT)
• Sep 30 (Tuesday), 7 - 8:30 pm ET (4 -5:30 pm PT)
• Oct 4 (Saturday), 12 - 1:30 pm ET (9 -10:30 am PT)
• Oct 7 (Tuesday), 7 - 8:30 pm ET (4 -5:30 pm PT)
• Oct 11 (Saturday), 12 - 1:30 pm ET (9 -10:30 am PT)

All classes will be recorded and the recordings will be distributed before the next class.
