This class is a 2-day series running on Tuesday, May 29th and Tuesday, June 5th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.

Want to learn how to build your own website? Already have your own site and want to have more control over it? Interested in learning to program but want to start small?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, this is for you! This an overview of the material from our popular 'Intro to HTML & CSS' all day-class. This beginner-level overview will take you from a blank page to a functioning website, including writing valid HTML, adding links and images, applying CSS styles, and positioning elements.

TECH REQUIREMENTS
• Your laptop.

• A text editor installed before class. We recommend Visual Studio Code or Sublime Text (They're free and available for both Mac and PC).

• Google Chrome web browser installed before class.

INSTRUCTOR
Betty Pierce
A steal drumming, beer drinking, barefoot running, mama who went from professional musician to coding for cash, our Busy Betty is a Sr. UI/UX Developer at Agile Though. With over 18 years of professional experience in our Tampa Bay area, Betty is a co-director of Women Who Code Tampa. She shares her passion for coding and emerging tech by speaking at conferences and meetups. Betty most recently presented at #DevFestFL, #UXDSummit and career day at her kids' school. She has worked in varied industries from government to advertising to technical consulting, she builds everything from enterprise AngularJS apps, UX wireframes, small business Wordpress sites, to HTML5 games. This happy mama of five she can be found cooking, cleaning and swinging kettlebells in her spare time.
