Moderate Hike in Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve @PJ for the girlies

Girl Power Meet up is excited to announce our next hike, Time for a hike! at the Infamous Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve, in Petaling Jaya, Selangor!

Please arrive by 8.50AM,we will commence the hike at 9.00am sharp.

Kota Damansara Community Forest Trailhead Details
There is a RM2 Entrance fee *enforced by the national rangers that are maintaining the forest reserve*

We will be taking the popular route with a great view,below is the link to the route details;

This is a 6.0-km out-and-back trail near Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 3 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

The trail begins with a steep incline but soon transitions into gentler terrain as you approach the peak. At the peak, you'll be rewarded with beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. The trail is well-maintained and well-marked, and it is shared by both mountain bikers and hikers. Monkeys roam freely in this area.

Fitness Level
Please note that this is a moderate level hike, this means that you have to be mildly fit to participate 💪, that means you are at least, Involved in some kind of fitness activities on a weekly basis.

Fitness Attire
You are free to wear what you’re comfortable in, however I strongly advise PROPER SHOES: Trail running shoes or Hiking Shoes, instead of gym shoes or sneakers as the trail is known to be muddy and slippery, additionally, there are steep inclines.

This is a Late morning Hike, hence you are recommended to take a delicious and filling breakfast along with a cup of coffee, so you are filled with energy to conquer this hike! 😀

How to get there : Transportation
If you are driving, please note that all you need to do is enter into WAZE or MAPS, the location, “Kota Damansara Community Forest” and it will bring you straight to the steel bridge.

Public Transport
The closest station is Kota Damansara MRT Station (KG06) and a 5 minute grab ride is required to reach the destination from there.

Parking
Parking is free by the roadside and there is a RM2 entrance fee. Please ensure you come a little early if you plan to drive in order to find a parking spot
