The Girlhood Table: Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
Details
Last Saturday of Every Month
The Girlhood Table is our monthly conversation gathering. Some months we discuss a book, other months a shared theme but the goal is always the same: thoughtful conversation in an intimate setting.
For February, we’ll be reading Wuthering Heights! A classic story of obsession, love, revenge, and emotional inheritance.
Set on the English moors, the novel explores the darker sides of romance and what happens when love curdles into control. It’s dramatic, atmospheric, and layered... Perfect for a conversation that goes beneath the surface.
To close out the month, we’ll gather to watch the film adaptation together and then head to dinner for discussion, comparing page to screen and unpacking the characters, choices, and themes that linger long after the story ends.
🎟️ Ticket info coming soon
Movie tickets are not available yet, but this announcement is your save-the-date. Full details, including ticket purchase and dinner plans, will be shared as soon as they’re released.
⚠️ Content Note
This book includes themes of emotional abuse, toxic relationships, grief, and violence. Please take care of yourself and participate at whatever level feels right for you during discussion.
This is one of Girlhood’s standing monthly gatherings.
We look forward to gathering around the table with you.
📖 Optional Reading Companion on Fable
While our main discussion will take place at our Feb 28 Meetup, we’ll also be using Fable throughout the month for anyone who wants to track their reading and chat along the way.
It’s a space to share reactions, quotes, and questions as they come up... Totally optional.
