What we’re about
Girls Like Techno Too is a network of female techno-lovers. The heart of our mission is to create a safe community for like-minded women: those who want to rave but maybe don't have anyone to go raving with or would like more rave buddies.
If you are a woman and love techno then this group is for you.
How it works:
We host Meetups in various locations in London approximately every 1-2 months.
The Meetups are held in bars/pubs where you can meet and connect with other women who like techno. These events are low-key and casual, and we aim to keep them affordable. There is no charge for these Meetups.
Occassionally we will post for specific events but to get the most out of the group and for the opportunity to make new connections it's best for you to come along to a pub meetup.
The Meetup is open to all members old and new. It's an opportunity to meet new members and expand your network of techno lovers and get all the inside gossip!
Once you have attended a Meetup, you will be invited to join the Whatsapp Community where there is a larger community of techno lovers who regularly attend various techno events around London. Have a specific night you want to go to and no one to go with? Just ask if anyone wants to join you on the Whatsapp Group. The members will often post events they are going to so others can join such as Junction 2 and Field Day etc. Some of the group even organise trips away such as Defected Croatia or ADE and there's a whole group of GLTT Members up north in Manchester which is perfect for Warehouse Project events.
You must attend a Meetup drinks or have met an existing GLTT member from the Whatsapp Group to be invited to the Whatsapp Community. This is something we have insisted on from the start and it really helps to keep a personal touch, build the community, maintain a safe and supportive space, as well as keeping creepy guys, spam and those only interested in promoting their nights away from the group.
With more people comes more variety and so we have also created a mountain of other groups for common interests discovered have along the way such as House and Trance, Business Networking, Culture and Food related events.
