DTR Modern: Magne Furuholmen

DTR MODERN is pleased to present an exuberant suite of monoprints by Norwegian artist Magne Furuholmen. Inspired by the designs of Henri Matisse for the Dominican chapel in Venice, this series of forty-nine monotypes demonstrates the artist’s personal exploration of the aesthetic shift Matisse brought to his working method involving bold abstract paper cutouts in the late 1940s.
