This class will introduce you to different Pranayama (breathing exercise) and Meditation Techniques and will involve a practice of all these techniques coupled with gentle asana/posture practice. Prana is the vital energy needed by physical and subtle layers on our body. It is the Prana or life force in us that nourishes the mind and keeps the body alive. Pranayama means working in the dimension of Prana and is an integral part of a developing yoga practice. In addition to supporting and deepening your Yoga asana practice, learning ways to calm or invigorate the body through breathing will greatly benefit all aspects of your life. Prior practice of Yoga asana/posture is recommended.

Online Movement & Mindfulness Yoga with Ellen

Class begins with an intention to focus the mind and heart space, then we’ll move through empowering vinyasa yoga to warm the muscles and build strength. Towards the end of the session we’ll transition into a slow flow focused on stretching to create space and flexibility.
