Concept over Code
As no and low code tools like Wix and AI powered and augmented tools make coding and creating faster and easier, the question of “how” to build becomes less important and differentiating than “what” and “why” to build. In this talk we will explore product design and decision making lessons learned from Scott’s time building and growing GitHub and explore how these lessons can be applied to the creative products of the future.
About Scott
Scott Chacon is the co-founder of GitHub and now the co-founder of GitButler, a next generation version control client, based in Berlin. Scott helped grow GitHub from 4 cofounders to 450 employees over 8 years, eventually being acquired by Microsoft for $7.5 billion. Scott is also the author of Pro Git, published by Apress and found online at git-scm.com. In unrelated news, he holds a WSET Level 3 certification in Wines and Spirits and owns a dog rescue outside of Berlin.
