Berlin Git Meetup

Details
🚀 Are you a Git user who wants to connect with other Git users? Then join us for the Git-Together on August 14th at the GitButler office.
💡 Whether you're a beginner or an expert, this event is the perfect opportunity to exchange tips & tricks for mastering the Git DVCS (Distributed Version Control System). Let's chat about best practices, explore related tools, and delve into code review systems.
🎤 We'll kick off the meetup with a few lightning talks
Lightning Talk #1:
GitButler co-founder, CEO and Git expert, Scott Chacon
- Topic: Scott will introduce the new Git-based branch manager GitButler. We'll talk about how GitButler does some stuff different than vanilla git (or any other GUI built on top of Git) and dig into some of the Rust code that helps us accomplish these feats of magic.
Lightning Talk #2:
Patrick Steinhardt, Software Engineer at GitLab, Git contributor
- Topic: In Git 2.45.0, GitLab upstreamed the reftable backend to Git, which completely changes how references are stored. Get an in-depth look at the inner workings of this new format.
Lightning Talk #2:
Sebastian Thiel, Gitoxide Core Developer
- Topic: The truth about `gitoxide`
Itinerary:
🍕 Doors open / eat pizza: 6:00pm
⚡ Lightning talks: 7:00pm
🍻 Networking and drinks: 8:30pm
📸 🎥 We'll be snapping photos and shooting videos throughout the event to capture all the fun and excitement. If you prefer to keep a low profile, just keep this in mind before deciding to join us.
