18:30 - 19:00 - Git-flow-Inspired Data Pipeline Application for ML models
At Skyline AI, we were looking for a way to help our DS team build ML models that are shareable and reproducible. We wanted to use Git branches and conventions to try different ideas instead of sloppy file suffixes and comments in the code. Instead of ad-hoc scripts, we wanted to create deployments CI/CD style, the same as we do with our other engineering infrastructure.
In short, we were looking for version control, experimentation and CI for our data pipeline. After failing to find a suitable solution we decided to build our own solution on top of Prefect.io and Google BigQuery.
In this talk, Or will demo Flowlogic and discuss some of its internal engineering aspects (like caching) and the Python implementation.

19:00 - 19:30 - Hacking GitHub: best tricks for better coding skills
GitHub is built with some extremely helpful shortcuts and productivity-boosting features. From personal experience, however, it’s clear that these often fall under the radar amongst developers.
In this session, we will cover the best tips & tricks that you can use to leverage GitHub for better coding. Each trick will be demonstrated on screen, so you can bring your laptop and try them together with me!
