August Coffee + Connect: The Giving Closet Project

Details

Coffee + Connect is a meetup designed for anyone in the community who values giving back to come network, share ideas, get inspired, and connect with causes you care about!

We host these every third Saturday of the month at Lucy's Sweet Shop- unless otherwise noted. Our goal is to provide an intimate, pressure-free, inclusive, and positive environment to hear from local nonprofit movers and shakers, explore ways of giving back, and share what awesome things you all have going on! We will be asking different local organizations to come speak to share their mission and to let us know we can get involved. We think connecting with people face-to-face is an extremely important first step in creating change together.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
You will have a chance to speak about your passions and connect with others who share a desire to give back in a no pressure, judgment-free environment. You will hear about a local nonprofit and find out how to get involved. Coffee will be provided. You'll leave feeling inspired and connected to a positive, energized community!

Space is limited to 16 spots

For this one, we will be joined by Jennifer Smith, the CEO/Founder of The Giving Closet Project.

A Bit bout Our Special Guest:
After serving 15 years as an educator in the Public School System, Jennifer is now working to break the cycle of poverty by focusing on the needs of impoverished students. By providing these students with essential goods and services that they severely lack, they are instilled with the confidence they need to become productive members of society.
