It is very much real. It is very much present. It can hit you when you don't expect it. It can take months till you realize what have happened during the birth of your child, and it takes years to recover from it... if at all.
We share our stories of abuse and misuse of power by OBs and midwives. We discuss possible ways to deal with it during childbirth and afterwards.
You don't have to be a victim. You can and should "fight" back.
It also can be wise to seek psychological help after a traumatic childbirth experience, for you and possibly for your partner.
The more people from your support circle are present during your labor, the harder it will be for the abusers to gaslight you and lie about what happened.
