What we’re about
Here's our bucket list for planning. Have more ideas? Comment there!
Grand Junction Cyclepaths is for those who love to ride and enjoy riding with others. We do mountain biking and road biking at friendly levels. Unless otherwise stated in an event invitation, you can expect events to be no-drop events. Of course, it's up to you to make good choices about the level of the events you attend.
Everybody is welcome to suggest and host a meetup - just click the "Suggest a meetup" link and put in the details. Please make sure to give all the info people will need to understand the event and decide if it's right for them. Please review Suggestions for Event Hosts.

Tom is going camping on the Grand Mesa at Cottonwood Lakes Campground. There is no structure to this event. I'm taking my camper, fishing pole and mountain bike. Lots of hiking available also. Company is welcome.

- Horse Mountain and beyond (Mostly Easy MTB)Randy and Nancy's house, Palisade, CO
Let's ride around Horse Mountain, the lump south of Palisade. We'll start at our house, and ride to 38 3/4 and 39 Road, and take that as a gradual uphill for a couple of miles to get behind Horse Mountain, then come around it to the the other side. This is the basic route, about 13 miles. I think we should go a little farther out into the desert though, since we're starting early.
It's doubletrack, BLM, E-bikes are OK. It's not great for dogs because there's asphalt at start and finish.
When I call this "easy" some people point out that the gradual climb up 39 Road is long, and there are two rocky descents (which it's fine to walk), and an intimidating-looking climb to get back to East Orchard Mesa (which doesn't turn out to be that bad).
Join us at our house!
