This was such an incredible trip, (I’m told) that we are doing it again. This is a bucket list adventure. I am posting this event well in advance in case people want to try to reserve a camping spot in the park. Lots to do and see in RMNP. We will park at the Estes Park Visitor Center or parking garage (they are right next to each other & FREE) and ride to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Once in the park, we will ride a couple miles to the turnoff for Fall River Rd, which is gravel, so please be on a gravel bike or a mountain bike. Fall River Rd. will be closed to vehicle traffic. We will climb 3000 ft up Fall River Rd to Trail Ridge Road. We can then head up to the Alpine Visitor Center (11,769 ft), or go further to the High Point (12,183). We will descend back down. If people want to spend extra days to hike and explore RMNP, like my husband and I will do, then it makes the trip over there worth it. We will plan on camping at the KOA in Estes Park. Please note, I will be checking for updates on any roadwork being done to Fall River Rd & Trail Ridge Road in 2026.
