Update on Hanging Flume gravel ride: mile 2.2 to mile 19.6 is a difficult 4-wheel drive road which requires a mtn. bike, strong legs and strong lungs! Since most of us will be gravel grinding, we'll cycle the northern gravel road to Hwy. 90 w/ the option to cycle to Bedrock. Return on the same hardback dirt road. 28 miles, 1,010 ft. elevation, 7.5% grade.

For those who want to attempt the harder 45.5m ride, it's renamed "Hanging Flume Mtn Bike ride from abandoned bridge."
This is a 45.5m gravel grinder cycle loop from an abandoned bridge which is located 3.8-4m south of Hanging Flume Overlook, Paradox, CO. Drive is approx. 2 hours from Grand Junction, CO. Park at abandoned bridge: 3.8-4miles south of Hanging Flume Overlook.
