Racing the Sun Ride ore' the Monument, 83rd annual.

40 mile intermediate ride in 100 degree weather. 2k feet of climbing. Meet at Brown Cycles (RIP) July 8th, 2026 and leave promptly at 6 pm. Ride road bikes up the East side of Colorado Nat. Monument and back on the bike path from the Fruita side. If I make it back to Brown Cycles before the street lights turn on (Sunset) I get a kiss from my wife who will be inwaiting. Bring whatever you want to kiss you. This is a drop ride..... because it's a race.... against the solar system. Historically people have showed up like it was a group tour. But it's not. It's a race. It's a personal race to see what you got. The Norms can do the Monument in 3.5 hours. Three hours if you really push it - which is the goal.
