Glasgow City Makers- improvement through urban interventions

Calling all people interested in architecture, urban design, and general life improvement in the city.

Glasgow is full of opportunities to make the city a better place to live. From small interventions like litter cleanups and neglected spaces, to designing new public spaces, reimagining entire city blocks, or developing projects with planning applications and funding — there is so much we could do together.

The idea is simple: bring together people who love Glasgow and want to do something about it. A place to exchange ideas, research opportunities, develop proposals, share skills, and gradually turn our ideas into reality.

My personal dream is to build a meditation rain garden with a small café on one of Glasgow's neglected brownfield sites. But this group is about much more than one project. It is about discovering what is possible when people who care about their city come together.

You don't need to be an architect, designer, or urban planner. Everyone is welcome. The only thing that should unite us is a genuine love for Glasgow and a desire to make it better.
