The organiser would like to take a break from accepting new members. Around 99% of members join but never log back in again. To try and get members to attend one thing, from around 250 events a year, is miraculous.
There's plenty of dull as ditchwater groups out there for you to eat and drink alcohol, which is what a lot of meet up is dominated by.
There's no point sending your views over. We have zero interest in them. Don't like it: just form your own group then.
