Hallo, Bonjour! Willkommen in Glasgow! This group is for German speakers of any level; beginner, intermediate or native. Also for expats looking to meet and speak English with locals. Let’s get together for some chat in a relaxed setting with great company. We also plan to attend other German themed events and film showings.

Wir werden uns im 1. Stock des Tramway-Cafés treffen, um Kaffee, Kuchen und einige Karten- und Brettspiele auf Deutsch in entspannter, freundlicher Runde zu genießen! Alle sind herzlich willkommen, da die Spiele bei Bedarf auf Deutsch und auf Englisch erklärt werden können.Beispielspiele sind Mau-Mau, Scattergories (auf Deutsch, wird erklärt), Schach, Backgammon und - wenn ich's von einer guten Freundin leihen darf - Scrabble auf Deutsch. Hast du ebenfalls ein Spiel, das sich auf Deutsch spielen lässt? Bring's mit!
Tramway befindet sich an der Südseite von Glasgow, ganz in der Nähe vom Bahnhof Pollokshields East. Pass auf - die Bahnhöfe Pollokshields West und Pollokshaws East bzw. West gibt es auch, also nicht in den falschen Zug einsteigen 😉 Tramway lässt sich ebenfalls mit dem Bus erreichen, und zwar mit den Bussen 3, 38, 57 oder 59 vom Stadtzentrum nach Eglinton Toll.

Wenn Du im Tramway ankommst, begebe Dich zum Café im EG und bestelle was zu trinken bzw. essen. Wir sitzen üblicherweise im 1. Stock. Falls Du uns nicht findest, frag einfach die Mitarbeiter im Café, sie sind ganz lieb.

We'll be enjoying some coffee, cakes and board games in German in a relaxed, friendly environment! All are welcome, as the games will be explained in both German and English, if needed.Games we'll play include Scattergories (in German), Mau-Mau (a German card game similar to Uno), chess, backgammon, and - if I can manage to borrow it from a good friend of mine - German Scrabble. Got a game you think we could play in German? Bring it along!
Tramway is located in the south side, just next to Pollokshields East train station. Be aware that there are also Pollokshields West and Pollokshaws East and West stations, so don't get confused!! Tramway is also easily accessed by buses 3, 38, 57 and 59 to Eglinton Toll from the City Centre.
