Tinto Hill - B walk at an easy pace

Tinto Hill 707m B walk at any easy pace

Climbing 460m; 10 km; 4h

The walk starts at Fallburn, near Thankerton, on the A73 SE of Lanark.

The route on a fairly good track climbs over Totherin Hill to the summit.

The descent is down the west shoulder of Tinto over Lochlyock Hill to the minor road leading back round to Fallburn. This alternative would add perhaps an extra hour to the time.

If it is frosty or snowy some form of grippers/microspikes may be useful.
