One-day Navigation Skills Training suitable for all walkers.

This course will be carried out by Alastair Ewen of Aspen Outdoors and is ideal for anyone wishing to improve their navigational skills and not just walk organisers.

It is excellent for those who feel they need confidence with their navigation, even those with very little experience.

The training covers off path / hill and mountain navigation. Topics covered include:

• Contour Interpretation
• Gauging Distance
• Navigation strategy
• Use of a compass for direction and relocation
• Use of electronic navigation apps

Alastair will provide the location nearer the time of the event, it will not be a munro but maybe near Mugdock or smaller hills locally, possibly the Trossachs.

The normal cost of this course is £85 but we are offering a 50% reduction to £42.50 for 5 members who sign up.
