Dunmore & Dechrode from Fintry, grade easy B

Depart: Fintry (village hall on mMain Street), 1000

This a a lovely circular route with splendid views in all directions.
The route climbs steeply up the path up the west side of the wee corrie overlooking Fintry to the top of Dunmore (340m) where there are the remains of an iron-age fort. Then we traverse over Fort hill above the corrie crags and up over roughish ground to Dechrode above some more formidable crags. The easy descent is via the east shoulder of Dechrode circling back under the crags to descend back to Fintry via a nice path down Coopers burn to the east side of the Fintry corrie, with excellent views back to Dunmore.
