Ropework Training Day (Subsidised) Hosted by Aspen Outdoors

Ropework Training day - Sat 11 April 2026, Ben Venue

This will be carried out by Alastair Ewen of Aspen Outdoors.

The cost of this event is normally £85 but the club are subsidising it to £42.50.

The training shall cover Mountain Leader ropework training. This includes the use of a 30m confidence rope to problem solve on steep ground; for instance,

• Lowering down or bring up a group member over a rocky step / steep slope;
• Confidence roping;
• Constructing a belay;
• In-direct and direct belay techniques;
• Simple abseiling techniques;
• Cost £85 per person.
