Join us for a stunning circular walk that highlights the best of Highland Perthshire!
We’ll start in Pitlochry, climbing through open moorland to cross the Bealach na Searmoin for panoramic views. The route then descends into the dramatic Killiecrankie Gorge, returning along a delightful stretch of the River Garry and Loch Faskally, passing the famous Soldier's Leap.
Details:

  • Distance: Approx. 10 miles (16 km)
  • Terrain: Varied-moorland paths to riverside trails.
  • Meeting: meet at 10:35am outside Pitlochry train station

If you are planning to come by train, it leaves Glasgow Queen street at 8.41am, arriving in Pitlochry at 10.32am (change in Perth). Return train back to Glasgow is direct and is either at 4.20pm or 5.35pm.

Please wear sturdy boots and bring poles and micro spikes, as part of the path could be covered in snow and ice, and is muddy and slippery. Bring lunch/water and waterproofs.
