Join us as we begin our journey along the Three Lochs Way, a spectacular long-distance trail that links Loch Lomond, the Gare Loch and Loch Long. Stage One starts in the lively town of Balloch, where Loch Lomond meets the River Leven, and winds through peaceful countryside, forest trails and open moorland before descending into Helensburgh with views over the Firth of Clyde.
Expect a mix of gentle inclines (with one steep incline through forestry land), generally good paths (with a couple of very boggy areas), and big skies - with some hidden gems along the way.
Please note this is a linear walk that starts in Balloch and ends in Helensburgh. Direct trains are available to Balloch, and to Glasgow from Helensburgh where the walk ends.
