Yorkshire Dales Holiday: Malham - Gordale Scar & Malham Cove, grade C+/easier B
Ascent: 290m, 12 km, about 4h walking time
Depart: Hawes YHA 0900, then drive to Malham village (about 50 min)

This circular walk from Malham initially passes the picturesque Janet's Foss before reaching the bottom of Gordale Scar, which we then scramble up beside Gordale Beck (there is an alternative if the beck is in spate) and then head up to Malham Tarn. The route returns down a dry limestone valley to reach the top of Malham Cove (photo) before dropping down round it back to Malham.
