Glasgow Humanists’ invite you to join us on Sunday 14 April at the Quaker Meeting House at 38 Elmbank St, Glasgow G2 4PS.

Doors open at 1.30pm for a 2pm prompt start and a 3.30pm finish.
There is a lift that is accessible from the ground level.
Tea and coffee will be available (donations welcome).

This free event is open to all Humanist Society Scotland members, supporters, and anyone who shares our vision and values.

Join us for a discussion on a topic, chosen by you, and kindly led by Callum, plus an update on possible future speakers.

Callum’s 3 proposed discussion topics:

  • Does There Come a Point at Which Society Has No Choice But to Require That We Think or Behave a Certain Way?
  • Should Humanity Endeavour to Move Towards a Global Language?
  • Should We Generally Seek to Improve Upon or Otherwise Modify Our Organic Bodies?

We'll also discuss our plans to celebrate World Humanist Day on 21 June. The local organising group of volunteers have some ideas that they'd like to share with you, but would also love to hear your ideas and suggestions. The event will likely be held on the weekend before or the weekend after 21 June. One option is a guided walk in the city centre, with a theme, on Saturday 15 June, either morning or afternoon.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in March’s lively discussion about youth voting rights, and to those of you who have offered constructive feedback. To keep you on your toes and shake things up we've got three new questions to choose from on April 14th – don’t fret if your favourite has yet to have its day, as our previous runners-up will be back later on in the year.
