About us

## What is the purpose of this group?

Robin Hood – Rob Bery: Glasgow Intelligent Money is a playful, presentation-based community exploring how people, businesses and communities can make better decisions about money.
We use practical examples, honest conversations, storytelling, parody and occasional dark humour to examine personal finance, business money, hidden costs, financial systems and the decisions that shape our lives.
Our creed is:
Take from the rich—their knowledge, strategies and advantages—and give it to those who need it.
No actual robbery is involved. Rob Bery has been warned.

## Who should join?

This group is for anyone who wants to understand money more clearly, including:

  • people improving their personal finances;
  • freelancers, founders and small-business owners;
  • professionals interested in smarter financial decisions;
  • community organisers and social-impact leaders;
  • curious people who enjoy practical learning with humour.

You do not need to be wealthy, financially experienced or good with spreadsheets. Questions are welcome, and expensive suits are optional.

## Why join?

Join to:

  • discover practical ideas you can apply;
  • understand financial concepts without unnecessary jargon;
  • learn from presentations, examples and other members;
  • question unfair, confusing or inefficient systems;
  • meet thoughtful people from across Glasgow;
  • enjoy a finance group that does not take itself too seriously.

This is an educational and community group, not personalised financial advice. Members remain responsible for their own financial decisions—and Rob Bery remains responsible for explaining the mysterious administration fee.
