October Meetup - Best Practices for AI-Assisted Programming
CGI, 1st Floor, 180 West George Street, Glasgow, GBWelcome to the GlasgowJS October Meetup! We'll be meeting on Tuesday 14th October, 18:30.
We will have socialising and networking with your fellow JavaScript developers and a talk from Patty O'Callaghan on Best Practices for AI-Assisted Programming.
This session covers best practices for using AI coding assistants, featuring live coding to demonstrate prompting, testing, and version control, while highlighting the human skills needed to stay in control and ensure quality.
We will livestream the talk on the Scottish Technology Club YouTube channel. No RSVP needed to join the livestream!

Online3 attendees from 2 groupsOur events are organised and hosted by volunteers, so this online hangout is a chance to get involved, give your feedback and help set the plans for next year.
First up we will give feedback on the events we have run in 2025. What went well, and what can be improved?
Second we will plan for GlasgowJS and EdinburghJS events in January, February, and March.
We'll discuss ways of recruiting speakers, volunteers and sponsors, and allocate jobs to be done.
We will be meeting in the scottishtechnology.club Discord Server on Tues 2nd December at 7:30pm in the Hangout voice channel.
Everyone is welcome from first-time to regular attendees!
