Combined London, Edinburgh & Glasgow Marketing & Advertising Network Meetup: Online Communities (via ONLINE - ZOOM)

The format is informal and provides an ideal opportunity for members of the group to meet each other, learn about marketing, advertising and network.

We have guest speakers who are experts in their industries. They will mainly talk about their "joys" and "sorrows" in marketing and advertising in their industries.

The topic this month is all about creating, marketing and advertising Online Communities.

About Maggie Sarfo, Regional Director, The Athena Network City of London Region

Maggie Sarfo is a passionate author, speaker and advisor for inspirational business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals; with a special interest in technology, B2B, women in business, and high growth companies embarking on ambitious growth strategies and people transformation.

She’s CEO of Meres Consult Ltd (www.meresconsult.com) and Regional Director of The Athena Network - City of London.

For over 18 years, she has inspired business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals for growth.

She takes a personal interest in ensuring that every business she works with is hugely profitable (if that’s an ambition).

Her work with world-class advisory and consulting firms like Gartner, WPP, Blake Morgan LLP and Bird & Bird LLP led to partnering with and over-delivering on numerous growth and people transformation programmes; majority of which involved enabling clients to be hugely successful in their roles.

Susan Kabani, Co-Founder & CEO, UGENIE HUBS
Susan Kabani is a graduate of the School of Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. After university, spent two years as a legal paralegal at a top New York Law firm before attending Tulane University Law School from 2006-2009. At Tulane, Susan received a Sport Law certificate and certification in alternative dispute resolution which includes skills such negotiation, mediation and arbitration. During law school, Susan worked as a legal intern for the National Football league in their London office. Her role began with working on contracts for sponsors, but went on to include working on commercial pitches for European sponsors.

In 2016, Susan launched Ugenie, which provides organisations with tailored digital platforms to more effectively engage their membership. Ugenie's vision is to provide affordable and easy to use technology to organisations or businesses that could not normally afford their own mobile technology. It currently focuses on small to medium sized organisations that have an existing membership or customer base to which they deliver regular content. The platform also allows enables the organisation to build stronger communities in private and customised digital space.

In addition to Ugenie, Susan is the community manager for The People Who Share, a global social Enterprise raising awareness to the sharing economy and collaborative consumption, in-charge of digital communication strategy for the Aga Khan Foundation UK, co-chair of the London board of GroYourBiz, a female advisory board for women and a London Fellow for the Start-up Leadership Program.

Ugenie and Susan received numerous awards in the last few years:
Ugenie named a finalist in the Small Business of the Year London category for the Venus Women's Awards.
