Munro bagging with SGA#3: Ben Vane(with Future Friends Glasgow Socialising Club)
Details
# Ben Vane, from Inveruglas
Ben Vane may be only just high enough to make Munro status, but it is a steep, rocky little mountain with real character, like a wee terrier that refuses to acknowledge its lack of stature amongst its higher neighbours. The ascent is short by hillwalking standards but there are several false tops and the climb is a sustained one.

## Walking Safety
Walking is a great way to keep fit and is generally very safe; however, it does contain an element of risk. Before going on any of these walks you need to be reasonably fit and be prepared to be responsible for your own safety. You should wear appropriate clothing such as proper walking shoes, and warm and wet weather clothing, and carry sufficient food and water.
The weather is always unpredictable, especially at this time of year. If the forecast is bad enough that it looks like we won't have a good time, then the event will be rescheduled, so please keep an eye out for any further communication.
Please note places are limited so if you can no longer, attend please let us know as soon as possible, and update your RSVP accordingly to give others the best chance at being able to attend.
