Looking for something fun, social, and active in South Glasgow? You’ve just found it.
At Try Tag Rugby, we make exercise easy, fun, and the social highlight of your week. Whether you’re brand new to rugby or haven’t played sport in a while - no problem, you’ll fit right in. You don’t need any experience - just come along for a fun, social way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy the good vibes.
We run mixed (all genders) social Tag Rugby Leagues, Events, and Taster Sessions in South Glasgow throughout the year. It’s all about having fun, making friends, and enjoying a run around – followed by a drink and a chat at our partner pub (yes, every week!).
Why not come along and give it a go at one of our Free Taster Sessions? There’s no pressure - it’s just a bit of fun, and we’ll talk you through everything. If you can’t make a taster, no worries - you can sign up for a league or event, and we’ll show you how to play before your first game. It’s easy to pick up, and you’ll be part of the group in no time.

👋 Never played Tag Rugby before? No problem - beginners are especially welcome!
Tag Rugby is a minimal-contact, mixed-gender team sport that’s all about having fun, meeting new people and staying active. It’s easy to learn and we’ll show you everything you need to know on the day.
Tag Rugby is new to Glasgow but has already taken off in Scotland - with over 800 people playing every week in Edinburgh alone.
Whether you're sporty or not, super fit or just getting started – everyone’s welcome. Lots of people come along on their own, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet.
Glasgow Green is located close to the city centre and is easily accessible from Merchant City and the south side of the River Clyde via King’s Bridge and the Polmadie Footbridge.
What to expect:
- A fun introduction to Tag Rugby
- Mixed teams and friendly games
- A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
- The chance to meet new people in Glasgow
The session is completely free – we just ask that you register HERE in advance so we know how many people to expect.
