A six week morning course for beginners
starts Tuesday 2nd July, 10am-12noon
This course will be based on the Buddha's teaching in the Sattipatana Sutra, which explains the establishment of mindfulness. It will give you a grounding in daily mindfulness practice
A structured introduction to meditation, posture, setting up a practice, balancing effort and relaxation. Participants will gain a practical ability in the two foundation meditation practices, the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana (development of loving kindness).
Meditation can produce many benefits, from reducing stress and improving quality of life, to accessing clearer states of mind and positive emotions such as love and compassion.
