For our next script, we will be reading a comedy called Charley's Aunt, "the most successful Victorian farce ever written." Written in 1892 by Brandon Thomas, the story is about some undergraduates at Oxford University, who, (needing to devise a plan to win the hearts of their respective love interests), decide that one of them will dress up and pretend to be the other's aunt. Trouble ensues when the real aunt arrives at the party.

Come along between 6 pm to 6:30 pm and enjoy a beverage and a chat. We will provide tea, coffee, and wine but you can also BYOB if you prefer something in particular.

We will begin reading at 6:30 pm.
You can bring a tablet or phone to use with a pdf version of the script, or if you happen to have the book, but we will also have it in large letters on a screen in the living room.
We will probably be done between 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm, but people are welcome to stay and chat afterwards.

People of all levels/experience welcome. We are a relaxed group, many of whom have little or no experience acting, so we are striving for a low pressure, fun atmosphere. Feel free to prepare beforehand by reading the script, but also there is no obligation to do so.

*Also, this event is at a private flat and we do have a dog who is sweet and old named Stella.
