Open Studios at Delicious Glass Fusing Studios and Western Avenue Studios
Details
Open Studios at Delicious Glass Fusing Studio and hundreds of other art studios at Western Avenue Studios. If you are interested in learning to make your own fused glass, now is the time to reach out and set up a class. The studios are too hot in the summer for our classes, and at some point in the future, I will be moving the glass studio to Costa Rica.
Open Stuios at Western Avenue Studios is a ton of fun. We have five floors, all different kinds of mediums, friendly artists, food trucks, a gallery and coffee shop, plus Lowell Makes and artists' residential lofts, some of which open for Open Studios. Tons of creativel stimulation.
To find me, please take the main entrance elevator up to the 3rd floor and make a right, Delicious Glass will be at the end of the hall.
In a glass fusing class, you will learn all about the process, different techniques, how to cut glass in straight lines, curves & circles and then you will choose a project. You can make a tic-tac-toe game, two nightlights, 5 dichroic pendants/earrings or use a 10" x 10" piece of sheet glass however you like. Many keep it whole and drape it into a vessel. While others divide it into four 5" x 5" dishes. It usually takes people between two and four hours to finish their first glass fusing class and it costs $100 per person, which includes everything. if you are interested in making a bigger piece, we can adjust the price. Due to the kiln processing time, your glass will be ready to be picked up a week or so later. Classes sizes are 1 - 3 students, 4 if you really love each other.
