What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to bring those together that are single parents.
I was raised in a single parent home and now that I have a family of my own, my wife and I felt inspired to create a space where single parents can come together to walk through life together.
In the Bible, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken"
My thought was that if you can be surrounded by those who are in similar situations, cumulatively everyone will be stronger and better prepared to handle all that life throws our way.
So to accomplish this, the plan is to have one monthly meetup. If you can’t make this months gathering, I’ll have next months meeting date posted ASAP. Do your best to put that date on your calendar and be sure to show up.
Building community takes effort, but I believe it will be worth it!
