Glitch Hunter - book and youtube channel release
Details
Glitch Hunter book and channel launch : What If the Universe Has Pixels? Like Minecraft?
17:00 Spaces, 4th floor - Media City Bergen. Pizza and Cosmic Stew will be served.
Glitch Hunter is a six-year project culminating in a book and a YouTube channel. It begins as a philosophical thought experiment and leads to two concrete predictions and an empirical test. Along the way it involves a yellow jumpsuit, an orbital X-ray telescope, and an unexpected experimental result.
The question is this : what if the universe is fundamentally discrete, made of tiny blocks, like Minecraft? If that were true, this discreteness might leave observable “glitches” in data we already have.
In this 30-minute presentation, I’ll walk through the motivation for taking digital physics seriously, and explain why ideas from information theory, Constructor Theory, Cellular Automata, and computational models can function as genuine reasoning tools rather than sci-fi metaphors.
The talk will be followed by open discussion, and friendly conversations, some drinks.
